Invalid SMTP email address error
An SMTP email address is an email address in the following format: name @ domain. This includes, for example, derek@sys-national.com.
If you are receiving an error message regarding an invalid SMTP email address, it is because the contact that you are addressing your secure message to is not recognized as being in this format. The two most common reasons for this are that the contact is either a MS Exchange® contact or a distribution list.
If the contact is a MS Exchange® contact, you must obtain his or her true email address (in the SMTP format, shown above). If the contact is a distribution list, you must expand the list so that it is replaced by the actual e-mail addresses.
